Spicy Beef and Pork Soup

It was a fabulous relaxing afternoon on a normal weekday where I was tucked well to my chair waited anxiously to be pampered. I was excited that I shared the table with a food entrepreneur and owner of The Taste Enclave Mr Willie Tay, at Avenue K Kuala Lumpur.

Belting with 18years of experience in the F&B industry, Mr Willie Tay a Singapore bred has a vast experience in F&B management specialising in food court management. He too founded Skinny Pig Pte Ltd in 2009, an F&B consultancy in Singapore which offered services to the booming industry in the Little Red Dot. He also took on the challenge of setting up various chains of food courts in Shanghai, Malaysia and of course, Singapore. I just loved listening his huge experience especially in setting up his food ventures and in search of selecting the right food

Once we were seated comfortably, dishes came flowing in. I got to confess it was fun to see dishes marching in. The first dish came already caught my attending like a bulging eye balls popping out, yes a gorgeous spiked red bowl of spicy beef and pork soup noodle at RM17.90. The sliced beef and pork had a awesome biting texture, tenderly and flavourful. The broth brewed well to my liking and paired well with the rice noodle, it was tasty and caught with great dismay. Fabulous, it will definitely be a great pick. The stall that provide such a fantastic treats is Y-Thu Wendy Vietnam located at Stall 1. I was informed that the owner of this stall hailed from Vietnam, and had established 5 outlets on food courts across Singapore and her main aim is to serve her customers hearty, authentic Vietnamese food. Signature dishes here would be Wendy’s Special Mango Salad, Wendy’s Special Pomelo Salad, Charcoal Grilled Pork Chop or Chicken Chop, “Hu Tieu” Rice Noodle with Pork & Seafood and Net Spring Rolls.

I love the infused modern chick simple interior backdrop of The Taste Enclave. It captured my liking and find it filled with comfort especially for dining. Taste Enclave is huge occupying 17,500 sq feet that can seat up to 550
diners and packed well with 16 fabulous stalls definitely suits many food lovers.

Stall No 21 Beef Noodle at Stall 4 dished up a lovely bowl of trip beef soup with beef balls accompanied a bowl of dry dark soy noodle topped with fragrant minced meat sauce at RM9.00. The texture of the strings of noodle was nice and had a soft touch of crunchiness while the fragrant dark soy mince meat stole the show. The tripe was done to tender and the pop crisp springy texture of the beef ball truly played with my tasting. I do noticed the noodle must be eaten while it is still warm for a better mouth texture. The broth was beefy that suited my liking.

Stall No 21 Beef Noodle is a spin-off from Soong Kee Beef Noodle and serves the same taste Malaysian have come to love and savour since 1945. The name of this stall is a tribute to the owner’s parents who started selling beef ball noodles at Stall No. 21 Cross Street, Kuala Lumpur. Stall No 21 Beef Noodle Signature dishes are Beef Noodle(Dry), Beef Ball Noodle(Sop), Beef Tripe Noodle and Beef Ball with Sliced Beef Noodle.
